Who's My Deacon
To assist the Pastor in the ministry of the church, the Chambersburg Baptist Church has elected deacons. The position of deacon in the church is one of service. Each church member is assigned to a particular deacon under the Deacon Family Ministry Plan. The deacon will then try to maintain contact with his families and make himself available for any ministry need. As a church member, you can aid your deacon in his ministry to you by keeping him informed of events that take place within your life and that of your family. Things like: anniversaries, birthdays, special honors or recognitions individual family members receive, graduations, births, deaths, illnesses, upcoming surgeries or hospitalizations, and vacations. In this way your deacon can rejoice in the good things that happen in your life as well as be there for you when some of the unpleasant things in life come along.
Listed below you will find the picture and name of each active deacon. Listed under each deacon's picture, you will find the names of the church members and families. These families, listed by head of household, are those assigned through the Deacon Family Ministry Plan. The assignments run September through August. Please contact your deacon when needs or events arise within your life or that of your family and give your deacon and your church the opportunity to minister to you. Thank You.
